Interesting fact: When I stopped trying to avoid “bad foods” and gave myself permission to eat what I want, when I want, in whatever quantity that I want, my cravings for unhealthy foods almost disappeared. And, now, when I DO have a craving for cookies, cake, candy, ice cream or other not-so-totally-healthy foods, it takes WAY less of it to satisfy me than it did when I was trying to avoid this “forbidden” food.
Deprivation and starvation will always lead to food binging. Instead of cutting foods or entire food groups out of your life, seek balance. Your mind and body will thank you for it!
